Grammys 2020: Funniest Moments and Memes - Teen Vogue

Grammys 2020 celebrated some of the best and brightest in the world of music on Sunday night (January 26), bringing together musicians of all genres to see who would take home one of the coveted awards. While the speeches and performances are typically the main attractions when it comes to the annual awards show, we can always count on the antics and memes that come out of the Grammys to give us a chuckle.

Last year, Lady Gaga's performance at the 2019 Grammys was one of the most memorable and meme-able moments of the night. The 2020 ceremony gave us a number of moments and memes we couldn't stop enjoying. Check out some of our favorites below:

Billy Porter's red carpet ensemble

Pose star Billy Porter showed up to the Grammys red carpet with a million crystals, stunning everyone with his sparkly blue jumpsuit and hat. But he had a little stunt up his sleeve: a remote-controlled fringe veil that pulled back to reveal his face. The motorized moment had people cranking out the memes on Twitter. People will surely be using this as a reaction GIF in the future.

Lizzo x Beyoncé

Apparently everyone's rooting for Beyoncé even when they're up against Queen Bey for a Grammy. While announcing the nominees for Best Pop Solo, it sure looked like Lizzo was mouthing for the "Lemonade" musician to take home the award. Clearly to her shock, Lizzo's name was called for the first televised win of the night.

New music from the Jonas Brothers

We expected the Jonas Brothers to rock the Grammys stage, but didn't know they'd surprise us with a brand new track and a guest appearance from some veggies Nick Jonas ate earlier. The trio kicked things off with their fresh song "Five More Minutes," a lovestruck ballad, followed by their new song "What a Man Gotta Do." During their medley, Kevin even had the chance to give his wife Danielle a kiss on the lips.

Tyler, the Creator and his mom

Tyler, the Creator took home his first Grammy after taking the stage earlier in the night with an electrifying, head-banging performance. The artist brought his mom onto the stage after his name was announced, and the two were clearly ecstatic. But Tyler still needed to give his speech so he turned to his mom and went, "I got to say my speech dawg." Yes, Tyler, the Creator called his mom dawg.

BTS on the red carpet

We already knew it was going to be a party at the Grammys with BTS (and hello, that amazing performance with Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus), but their time on the red carpet also brought the laughs (along with Min Yoongi's very blonde hair). The Korean superstars revealed that they want to make music with the one and only Ariana Grande. On top of that, RM also said that Ari "started spitting bad words and saying wow" after she saw them perform. Seven members of BTS, "7 Rings" by Ariana, now that's not just a coincidence. It's the collaboration ARMY deserves!
